As part of our Algebra topic, we are learning about function machines. For homework – design your own function machine with at least one step. Extra challenge – have 2, 3, 4 or even 5 steps to your function machine!
Roll dice and input numbers to the function machine. What number comes out? Create a table to show the numbers in and out like below.

Road safety
We are starting a road safety campaign. For this campaign, we need to be familiar with the speed limits for different vehicles and the speed limits for different roads. For homework
- Find the maximum speed limit for the following vehicles – motorkbike, double decker bus, car with a caravan, lorry, car.
- Find out how many different categories of road speed limits there are – eg some roads at 30, some are 70.
