HAPPY FRIDAY!

Today was our insect assembly!

It was a huge success and we are very proud of what we achieved in a short space of time!

We had a song, a poem, jokes, a drama and an amazing powerpoint.

Well done.

After lunch, we were learning about firework safety and creating some firework art.

Yesterday we also had a special visitor – a maths genius! – and she taught us about problem solving!

We have also been exercising to improve our fitness. We completed the whole work out video from this weeks homework in class!

Mr McMullan also had homework for his French course! Luckily the children were able to help him prepare for his talk by making a video of what he has to say!

Here it is!

Amazing job

Check out the blog on Friday to find out how assembly went.

Tuesday 1st November

This morning we were taking the information from our non-fiction books and using it to create something new.

One book was about Rome, so we designed Roman Castles.

One book was about “giants of the deep sea”  so we designed our own deep sea creatures.

One book was about water, so we created our own versions of the water cycle.

We have also started researching World Toilet Day and creating power points about it!

In maths, we were brainstorming all the things that a family needs to buy in the weekly shop and then researching the prices.

We also had a painting which was done by one of the parents because one of the books was about the National Portrait Gallery! How amazing is this!
