German Concert with Martina Schwarz

Yesterday’s concert, held in conjunction with the Goethe Institut in Glasgow, was a roaring success.  Over two sessions, P5-7 pupils from our 5 cluster primary schools had the opportunity to take part in an interactive concert in German to reinforce some of the language they have been learning at school.

Pupils sang along to songs, danced the Animal Tango and used props to help their understanding.

Thanks again to the Goethe Institut and Martina Schwarz for helping us to strengthen our transition programme with the primary schools.

More pictures can be found on the Modern Languages’ Twitter feed.

Auf Wiedersehen, Juri!

FullSizeRenderThis week we say tschüss to our foreign language assistant Juri.  Juri has been working at Chryston High School since September last year.  We would like to thank him for his work over the session and wish him well for the future.  Juri will be spending the summer on Skye before returning to Leipzig to continue his studies in education.
