Welcome to P3/2’s class webpage!

We have had a fabulous start to Term 1 and we have all settled in well to our new class. We have spent time getting to know one another and I cannot wait to be part of all of P3/2’s learning journey this year!

We have already had such a busy start to our new learning journey. To ensure that our classroom is a safe, calm, welcoming and inclusive environment, we have taken time to create a new class charter. We started by identifying the articles from the UNCRC that we felt best reflected what we expect in our classroom and our learning and then chose a theme. P3/2s were very proud and excited to display their amazing Super Mario class charter.

At Whinhill we are proud to be a dialogic school and talking and listening is at the centre of our learning. As such, we take every opportunity to use and develop our talking and listening skills throughout the school day. To aid this, as a class we have created a talking and listening Y chart which is displayed and made reference to during each lesson. We are also visible learners, and it is very important that we take time to reflect on our progress and to know our targets and the next steps in our learning.

Within P3/2, there are a lot of amazing staff available to help us. On a Wednesday morning, Mrs Cooke takes P3/2’s for PE, Health and Well-being and RME. We also have Mrs Keogh supporting us on our learning journey.

Every Monday and Wednesday are our PE days. Homework will be issued on a Monday and should be returned on a Thursday.
