Today we are writing this blog about Primary 7a’s class assembly. Since we are focusing on Article 15 – you have the right to be with friends and join or set up clubs, unless this breaks the rights of others, our assembly was all about friendship. In the last few weeks we have been learning about being a good friend and how to help our buddies in P1 make friends. In the assembly we thought would make it funny and put the Great British Bake Off (The TV show) but instead we called it the Great Whinhill Bake Off. The hosts for the Great Whinhill Bake Off were Jamie Hollywood and Ellie Berry with their glamorous, fabulous and totally exotic assistant…Joanna Jelly (aka Scott Orr)! They were really funny! They told us all about the qualities of a good friend for s recipe for friendship.
An important part of our assembly was the story called ‘The Crayon Box that Talked’. Some pupils dressed up as a colour and acted like a crayon. In the beginning they all hated each other but then at the end of the story they became friends. Things we had to focus on were having a loud, clear voice, thinking about our body language and responding to the audience. We found it difficult at first but we all were delighted with our performance! At the end we sang a song called Count on me by Bruno Mars. The video was animated and it had the lyrics so everyone could sing along!

The assembly is the best thing I’ve done so far. I loved being the assistant Joanna jelly. I read a poem as well so that was cool to. Its the most confident I’ve been. Thanks Zoe and Capri for putting this up.
I really liked our assembly because of how fun it was. everyone should not be bad to each other because we all have rights.
I really enjoyed our first P7 assembly about friendship. I liked being the fabulous contestant of baking a thoughtful tiramisu my other class mates done very well. There was an assistant called jj Joanna jelly (Scott) I am looking forward to our next assembly I don’t know what it is yet.

I thought it was really good! We always should be kind to our friends Why am I saying this? because our assembly was all about friendship! We done it because we have been put in charge of very important people there really cute! i think you already know by me mentioning “cute” Primary 1! It was all about them building great friendships with our people in primary 1! As I said I loved it! Great post Zoe and Capri

I loved the theme of your assembly. It was a perfect way to show our values at Whinhill Primary. I really enjoyed your Whinhill Bake off. Well done P7. You show your friendship skills daily with your P1 buddies.
I know our Accembly was ages ago but I just want to say the Accembly was amazing and we all pulled it off. Just always try your best on these things because you don’t know where it will get you in life so well done guys! And well done to the beautiful Zoe and Capri great post!
