It is Commonwealth Week this week and many lessons in school will have a Commonwealth Games link to them.
On Friday 13th June, there will be some Commonwealth activities on at lunch time in the P.E gyms for anyone who would like to come down and have a go.
We will have badminton, table tennis and high jump. Depending on the weather, we may have a version of lawn bowls on the front pitch.
Watch this space for photos from the weeks events.
On Friday night our former S6 pupils celebrated their time at Lourdes Secondary in the form of their School Prom at Sherbrook Castle.

Good Luck and Best Wishes to the class of 2014.
On Wednesday June 4, Lourdes Secondary’s Maths Department held their second Primary Maths Challenge event and it was even more exciting than the first!
This time around, the event was even more popular as many schools entered two teams into the competition, meaning pupils were competing against each other and to be the best team in their school!! Rounds included solving Math-anagrams, Countdown puzzles, Logic Round and the Relay race.
Going into the final round, teams from two schools were tied for first place.
Previous runners up, St Marnock’s Primary emerged victorious this time and were delighted to be awarded the trophy, presented by Lourdes Secondary Head Teacher Gerry McGuigan

Lourdes u15’s capped a wonderful season with a hard fought 3-2 victory over Bishopbriggs in the League playoff. This was the second cup win in under a week, as they had rampaged to a 7-1 victory over Clydebank in the Glasgow Cup the previous Wednesday.
Following interviews yesterday Mr Gerry McGuigan has been appointed permanently to the position of Head Teacher at Lourdes Secondary School.
In the run up to the final exams we will be offering a series of Support Sessions for each subject, details attached.
It is highly recommended that all pupils sitting exams this year take advantage of this opportunity to assist with final preparations.
