The deadline for S5 registrations is the 20th October 2018.

Senior School Awards Ceremony for S5/6
Come and celebrate success with our senior pupils on Thursday 10th December in the school Concert Hall at 7pm! The event is ticketed and we will notify parents and pupils of ticket allocations later this week.

Prelims Start Tomorrow

Reminder that Senior School Prelims start tomorrow within the school. Could all candidates please ensure that they are fully aware on when their exams start and where they are taking place.

Please remember the following:


*  All pupils should attend school each day unless they have an examination. Pupils will be given permission to be absent from school for the full day of any examination.

*  On the days that pupils attend school they will follow their normal timetable and will have supervised study for their forthcoming Prelim Exams. Pupils are responsible for bringing relevant revision materials to school as required.

*  S4/S5/S6 pupils who do not have any Prelim Exams to prepare for will be given consolidation material during class time.

*  All learning and teaching will be suspended for S4/S5/S6 during the diet of Prelim Exams.

*  All homework tasks will be suspended for S4/S5/S6 during the diet of Prelim Exams.

S4-S6 Pupils – Apprenticeship in Accountancy

An excellent opportunity has arisen for pupils in S4-S6 who are interested in pursuing an alternative route into Accountancy and Finance. A Kaplan Scholarship could take you from school leaver to Chartered Accountant in 5-6 years and provides the following benefits:

UCAS Notices

1.GLASGOW UNIVERSITY TOP UP PROGRAMME

Any UCAS applicant who would like to take part in Glasgow University’s Top Up programme should give his or her name to Mr Urquhart asap.

2.PERSONAL STATEMENT DROP IN 8

WEDNESDAY 09th OCTOBER- 11.00-15.00

Mrs Currie will be in Lourdes from 11.00-3pm on Wednesday 9th October to provide advice and guidance with the drafting of Personal Statements. If you would like to see Mrs Currie, please sign up on the UCAS noticeboard.

3. DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS TO MED/DENT/VET/OXF/CAMB – TUESDAY 15TH OCTOBER

UCAS candidates applying for courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Vet Medicine or to Oxfordor Cambridge must have submitted their final applications along with academic reference to UCAS by Tuesday 15th October. See Mr Urquhart immediately if there are any difficulties.

4. FINAL DRAFT PERSONAL STATEMENT DUE MONDAY 21st OCTOBER

Final drafts of Personal Statements should be submitted to Pastoral Care staff by Monday 21st October. Please see your pastoral care teacher if you anticipate any difficulty meeting this deadline.
