We have been collecting leaves from our sensory garden and when we went on our social outing to the park. We were then able to reuse these leaves to create lovely pieces of artwork for our display.

FAOL – Science
We have been enjoying the sunshine both in the playground and on our social outings. We have been looking at our shadows making them look different by moving our bodies.
Fantastic Firework Art!
The Sungazers had lots of fun in the art room creating these superb firework pictures and 3D rockets. Firstly, we discussed firework safety before the boys recycled scrap paper and made their own ‘paintbrushes’ by cutting the ends of rolled paper. Some super scissor skills and a fantastic result as I’m sure you’ll agree!
Well done to these successful learners!
Snowdrops have the book bug
The Snowdrops were all confident individuals during a visit to the Dick Institute library. Everyone made effective contributions during 2 multi-sensory story sessions and enjoyed exploring all the sounds and textures.
* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS *
The Moonbeams class enjoyed a spooky Halloween themed walk. We looked at a map of our local area and planned a route so that we would walk in the shape of a witches hat.
We walked through the Kay Park looking at the monument, seen the Robert Burns statue, looked at the town landscape and found some lion statues!
Outing to the park
The boys in the Sunflowers class loved going to the park this morning. We went on the school bus so we had longer at the park. We enjoyed being in the bucket swing and climbing up and going down the slide.
This had been a very busy week in the Pine Room. We have made lots of Halloween things – a pumpkin solar system lantern, sensory bottles, pictures, decorations, pizza with spiders on it – not real spiders!!! Took part in a Halloween Sensory Assembly and had a Halloween Party!!
The Bluebells have enjoyed exploring Pumpkins this week and transferring their cookery and art skills while working with them. The pupils chose some of their favourite designs and used these as inspiration while painting the Pumpkins. They worked hard and demonstrated that they are responsible by carefully cutting and scooping them.
As part of Halloween this week, the class took part in a variety of activities during our Sensory assembly and took part in a whole school costume parade.
Halloween Howlers
The Stars Class enjoyed lots of Halloween activities this week and a sensory assembly. We harvested the pumpkins we’d grown in the garden.
Halloween Fun
We have had so much fun celebrating Halloween this week! We have taken part in lots of activities, and enjoyed putting on our costumes for a parade on Friday.
