Well done to our team of gymnasts who competed in the Scottish Primary Schools Floor and Vault finals at Perth on Saturday 11th of May. The gymnasts competed against schools from across Scotland. The girls had trained hard for this event and represented the school extremely well. Mrs Duncan and Amy were very proud of the team and their fantastic effort. Thank you to all parents and grandparents for transporting the team to the event and for supporting us on the day.
As part of class learning, Primary 4 have created their own magnetic games. Primary 2 were invited to play the games and had a fun afternoon exploring forces and magnets.
Primary 7 were working with Mrs Duncan on a Respect Me workshop yesterday. Pupils shared their understanding of what respect looks like and sounds like. They also shared their views of what respect means to them through their ‘respect means’ speech bubbles.
On Tuesday afternoon we invited all our parents and relatives to come along and have some fun making a junk model dinosaur with us. We started the afternoon with a song, which involved a little audience participation towards the end and then we got going making our models! We had a fantastic time creating our original dinosaurs and Mrs Fitzsimmons was very impressed with all our ideas! Thank you very much to all our parents and relatives for coming along to help us. We hope you had as much fun as we did!!!

Thank you to Angela at Tesco Castle Douglas for providing us with a range of milks and cheeses as part of ‘Our Body’ Topic. The class had great fun tasting, discussing textures and flavours.
