P1-P3 Sponsored Walk

Despite the rain P1-P3 participated in their sponsored walk around Rounall Woods today. Everyone was amazing and walked round the woods in good spirits. The buzz that could be hear from the front was fantastic. I think there was a bit of fun splashing in the muddy puddles too.
Thank you to all parents who were able to join us on the walk. It was great to have you with us. Thank you also to Mr Drennan and the sports leaders from Dalbeattie High School.

P4-P7 walk tomorrow.

Maths Week Scotland

P 1 and 2 Outdoor Learning

Today in school, we used a Maths Week Scotland resource as our starting point. We looked at how shape is used in art work and we looked specifically at the work of Kandinsky. We then transferred this to the next steps in our learning about 2D shape by  learning about vertical lines of symmetry. We then followed this up with our own creative work during some outdoor learning. Mrs Howie
