This weeks Head Teacher Awards
On Wednesday 23rd of May, Dalbeattie Tennis club visited Dalbeattie Learning Campus. Keith Thom from the club and Amy Bradbury from Active Schools, spoke with some children from P1-S3 about all the great work that is going on at the Tennis Courts in Dalbeattie. The club wanted feedback from the children on what they want to see happening at the club. Well done and thank you to the Pupil Council from Dalbeattie Primary School and Murray, Ewan and Angus from Dalbeattie High School for your input.
Primary 3 had a great trip to Boreland Farm Colvend on Wednesday 9th of May. Thank you to Stephen and Tracy Roan for allowing the class to visit and sharing their farming knowledge and experiences with the class. Thank you also to Fiona Jamieson from RHET for co-ordinating the trip along with Mrs Dunlop. The children were so excited to share their learning with others on their return to school. Well done P3.
Congratulations and well done to Rowan from P3 who won the Council name the gritter competition for the Stewartry Area. Pupils from schools across Dumfries and Galloway were given the opportunity to name some of the council gritters that they see out hard at work over the winter time in our region. Rowan came up with the name Salty Sam and this was chosen as the Stewartry winner. Salty Sam was brought to school today for Rowan and her friends from P3 to see. The pupils also met Wee Dee Gee and got the opportunity to sit in the gritter.
