Primary 3/4 and Primary 4 Cooking with Mrs Houston
Today we weighed, measured, sieved, stirred and washed up!
Oat and Honey Breakfast Muffins were a success!
Thank you Mrs Houston for use of the HE kitchen. We are looking forward to returning next week!
Primary 3/4 Tesco Tasting
Thank you to Angela at Tesco Castle Douglas for providing us with a range of milks and cheeses as part of ‘Our Body’ Topic. The class had great fun tasting, discussing textures and flavours.
Scooter Skills
Some classes from P3-P7 participated in Scooter Skill activities with Katie from ibike today. The weather was kind to us and all classes got out into the playground to participate in this fun event.
More fun for others tomorrow.
Rotary Quiz
On Monday 11th of March, 4 teams of P7 pupils from Dalbeattie Cluster participated in this years Rotary Quiz cluster heat. The teams all worked well together to answer questions about Literacy, Maths and Numeracy, Expressive Arts,Science and Technology,Scotland and Pot Luck. Teams were supported by members of Dalbeattie Rotary Club with Mr Cathro acting as Quiz Master for the event. The winning team from the cluster this year was Dalbeattie Primary who will now progress through to the next round within Dumfries and Galloway. Thank you to Dalbeattie Rotary Club.

World Book Day 2019
Classes throughout the school enjoyed sharing their favourite books with each other for World Book Day. Pictures below show P3/4 and P4 activities and sharing time.
Displays Around The School
Classes throughout the school have created some fascistic displays show casing pupil learning so far this term.
Bunny Treat Bags
P3/4 have had great fun today designing, creating and filling our Easter Treat Bags. They will be on sale for £1 next Thursday night (28th Feb) at the High School’s S3 Producers’ Market.
Burns Competition
Primary 7 pupils show cased their performance skills today at the finals of our Burns Poetry competition. 12 finalists were identified by Miss Clendinning and Mrs Graham. Judges Mrs and Mrs Cathro joined us for the difficult task of selecting the winners. Winners in the art competition were also picked today. Well done to all P7s for learning extracts from Tam O’Shanter and as always a fantastic effort with the entries in the art competition.
