Childline Visit

P6, P6/7 and P7 received a special visit from Buddy. He came along (with his human helpers) to talk to the children about different types of abuse and where children can go for help if they need it. After a short assembly each class participated in a short workshop where the children had the opportunity to discuss different dilemmas and offer advice on where the fictional children should go for help.

Why not test us and ask us the Childline telephone number? What do you think Buddy actually is?

Primary 6 Turned Back Time!

As part of our Victorian topic, P6 were very lucky to receive a visit from Maureen from Library Services with her very special boxes! We had to wear special gloves. We were able to see children’s toys, shaving razors, an iron, clothing and even a car horn – we all had good fun honking it!

Some of us were even able to wear an apron and sailor outfit which have kindly been made by a women’s group in Linlithgow.

Why not test our knowledge and ask us why we needed to wear special gloves to handle the objects? I wonder how many object we can describe to you?

Football Latest

Brrrrr! Playing football on a bitterly cold February evening takes a great deal of grit and determination. Bankton PS played Williamston PS earlier tonight. The final score was Williamston 5 Bankton 3. Bankton had lots of opportunities to score and shooting will definitely be a focus at next practice!

Well done to all players and many thanks to the brave, loyal parents who braved the Siberian temperatures. Mrs Murdoch is only just beginning to defrost and get the feeling back in her toes!
