All the P6s have been enjoying their Bikeability sessions this term. They are halfway through their training and loving it.
John Muir Day 1
On Friday 10th September the P7s and Ms Scanlan had a rocky adventure with Rob at Scatness. Everyone challenged themselves with a look over the high cliffs, explored the rocky beach, searched for (and found – thank you Leighton) the geo cache, explored the Iron Age building, walked across the land bridge (without using our hands!), had a mindful moment and finally went on a rock hunt. We even tried a bit of sea lettuce!
As always we had a great day – thank you to Rob – and we’re looking forward to the next one already 🙂
Nepal / British Council Climate study
Over the last few weeks P6/7 have been doing lots of citizen science activities. We have recorded lichens in the school grounds to check the quality of our air and we have learnt how to use Excel to record weather data.
Ethan’s birthday 🎂
It has been a lovely start to the year. We took advantage of the nice weather today to go and explore the wild area. Ethan caught a birthday frog and we had lots of fun.
Drama with Izzy Swanson
This term Izzy Swanson has been making local history plays with us. Please have a look at the final films. A huge thank you to Koll for all the editing and Kelsi for the filming.

The All Stars amazing afternoon
We were treated to another amazing afternoon of fun, which started with an excellent treasure hunt, fantastic bespoke caps and hot chocolate and marshmallows by the fire pit. Thank you so much to everyone involved!
Leavers’ Hoodies
This afternoon Mrs Henderson and Mrs Leslie came to present the class with their leavers’ hoodies. The P7s were delighted and looked very colourful.
Our 2nd John Muir day
Today the second half of the class had their John Muir adventure. We went to Scatness and had another rocky adventure. The weather was fantastic and we had a great day. A big thank you to Rob, for all the fun.
Midsummer John Muir Adventure
Half of P7 had their last John Muir day today and we had a rocky, scrambling adventure at Scatness. Rob was very impressed with everyone’s climbing skills and we all had a brilliant day.
Fun afternoon thanks to Ellie, Amy, Kayla and Lois
We had so much fun this afternoon. Amy, Lois, Kayla and Ellie, with help from Amy, Michele and John, had organised the most amazing afternoon. They tricked the class into thinking we were going to be doing Jolly Grammar, but instead, everyone has an invite slipped into their workbooks, for their obstacle course, water slide and chocolate and food stall!
We couldn’t have had better weather as we were met at the door, by our bossy police officers, to attempt the first of several obstacle courses. Everything went at a very fast pace and there was lots of fun in trying to complete all the amazing challenges. There were lots of refreshments too along the way.
The ice cream stall and chocolate fountain were a big hit, as was the amazing water slide. I hope you enjoy the photos.
