Here are some pictures of a typical busy day in P2n. The class has been learning to use Rekenrek counting frames to help them with subtraction and this has worked really well. Also some great work at the craft table, games table and big book reading activity. Checkout the class singing Frere Jacques in two groups at the top of the page!

Do you have any unused Hama Beads and boards that you could donate to the school? P1 – 3 would love to receive any spare beads and boards to use at Golden Time. You can drop them off at the office. Thanks in advance from P1 – 3.
P2s have settled in really well and have been working hard this term. The topic has been birthdays and this has covered time, making graphs, seasons, months and many more aspects of time and people. The trip to see a film at Mareel was great and everybody is looking forward to more trips next term!
This term P2n have been celebrating Birthdays as a topic. We have been learning the months of the year, days of the week and seasons. We enjoyed playing in our birthday party role play area with party plates, cups and a birthday cake.
We have also made our own Birthday party hats and decorated party plates with a pattern of different colours. We have enjoyed this topic!
In Primary 2s they have been looking at different parts of a plant as part of their Growth Topic. The children had to figure out what part of the plant they were looking at and then they prepared the vegetables and fruit and had a salad bar where they got to choose what they would like to eat.
They will be writing up their salad recipes next week.
