Our Bell’s Brae netball team played 3 tough matches against Baltasound, Yell and Tingwall last night. They enjoyed their visit to Yell and were super representatives of the Bell’s Brae School ⭐ Miss Birnie and Ms Henry are really proud of them!

Thank You Lerwick Port Authority
We have been extremely lucky to receive a donation of 20 trees from the Lerwick Port Authority. This donation from the Port Authority offsets their paper usage.
This morning Lerwick Port Authority were on hand to support our staff and pupils to plant these trees at the back of our school car park. Once these trees grow we are hoping that as well as enhancing the area it will reduce the amount of grass cutting required. All helping the environment.
Look at the feedback we received from Port Authority staff about our young people:
‘The pupils were excellent. They were friendly and enthusiastic, confident with people new to them and very keen to participate. Everyone got a chance to get involved with all parts of the planting process and they worked very well together. Their behaviour was a credit to themselves and the school.’
P4-7 Sports Day
We were delighted to be able to have our P4-7 Sports Day yesterday.
It was great to see most of the pupils enjoying themselves and trying their hardest. Everyone’s contribution was important and supported their team – Thorfinn, Olaf or Magnus.
One the day Olaf were the winning team and captains Kali Thomson and Leo Murray Wiseman were proud of accept the shield on behalf of their team.
Sports Day
Weather permitting the P4-7 classes will have their Sports Day on Tuesday 25 June at 0930.
We were pleased that it cleared up yesterday afternoon for the P1-3 classes. The pupils worked hard to score points for their team and showed lots of enjoyment. Team Thorfinn gained the most points but they were all winners!
