As part of our sea themed activities we visited the Sands of Sound beach.

Mrs Cheyney’s husband, Aiden, very kindly made a mud kitchen for the Bell’s Brae ASN department. We have been enjoying being outdoors in the fine weather and playing with the pots and pans in the kitchen.
We are very grateful to Mr Cheyney for his generous donation!

We have spent this morning at the Museum of Flight.

The pupils on the Edinburgh trip have had an action packed day at Blair Drummond safari park. We’ve seen a sea lion and birds of prey show, and lots of animals including elephants, giraffes and rhinos. Pupils got to have a go at pedal boating, the zip wire and we finished up with a boat trip to ‘Chimp Island’. Everyone has had a great day 😀

Me and Harris have been working on a wind turbine animation on scratch we will be using this for our wind power presentation in a few weeks time.

On Wednesday 10th May, we had a visit from Morrison’s construction, who are building the new AHS. They provided a really interesting workshop for P7S, with 3 different activities. One involved creating a solid construction using cocktail sticks and midget gems. The second activity was a word search containing different words associated with the construction industry. The third activity involved pupils looking at a diagram of the new AHS and considering which roles each members on the site had. The session ended with a visit from their ‘mascots’!

We have added a new calendar to the front page of the website. This contains all key dates – holidays, in-service days, sports day and much more. You can view other months and click on events to find out more.
We hope parents/carers will find this link useful.
