Primary 1 got everybody feeling really Christmassy with their Nativity shows earlier this week. There was even snow outside!

A town service bus will stop at Bell’s Brae at 1300 on THURSDAY 7 DECEMBER to collect children who normally use the 1500 service.
As a precautionary measure, Bell’s Brae will close to pupils at 1pm on Thursday 7th December.
The school will remain closed on Friday 8th December.
The draw for our ‘Big Raffle’ will take place on Tuesday 12 December. Please ensure you have returned all stubs and monies by Monday 11 December for a chance of winning!
Any unsold tickets should be returned to the school office as soon as possible.

As part of Book Week Scotland, all the children in Primary 1, 2 and 3 will be taking home a bag of goodies this week.
P1 will get a ‘Bookbug’ pack and a ‘Read, Write, Count’ bag will go home with P2 and P3.

Both Primary 2 classes have been very busy decorating and selling cupcakes to raise money for Children in Need.
From selling the cakes and dressing up, we were successful in raising £101.36!
In connection with our topic ‘Keeping Safe, Happy and Healthy’, both Primary 2 classes visited the Lerwick Fire Station on Monday.
Both classes had a super time being shown around the station. A highlight was going in the fire engine and getting a shot of the hose!

Today Primary 7S were invited to take part in the Great Scottish Book Quiz at the Anderson High School. They were all very excited to get a sneaky peak inside the new building for the first time! The pupils really enjoyed the quiz which was led by Ms Odie and Athea, Ishaq and Ross were victorious 🙂
We have had a super day at Bell’s Brae raising money for Children In Need. Children came to school in their onesies or pyjamas and made a donation. Some classes iced cakes and sold them at the Tuck Shop. At assembly the p1-7 classes learned more about the charity and how the money raised is used. We raised £336.79! Thank you to all who helped to raise this fantastic amount.
