Nearly £200 was raised through donations from parents as they were entertained by P7 performing “Goldilocks and the Three Bears.”

Last week the children from Primary 1 entertained the school and family and friends with their nativity ‘Busy, Busy Bethlehem’. The boys and girls have spent many weeks learning their parts and their songs and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the performance.

This term both P5 classes have been learning all about the Scottish Wars of Independence. To finish off the topic, we worked in small groups to create a stop motion animation using lego. This was really enjoyed by everyone. Here are just a couple of examples.
Bell’s Brae School will close at 3pm as usual today.  Nursery will also close at 3pm.
The P1 show scheduled for this afternoon will go ahead at 2pm.
However, please note the following –
In the interests of both pupil and staff safety, there will be no crossing patrol staff on Gilbertson Road or at the bottom of Bell’s Road. If your child(ren) usually walk home, can you please arrange for them to be collected from their classrooms.
It is at parents/carers’ discretion should they wish to collect their child(ren) early given the adverse weather conditions.
Due to the adverse weather conditions and the ongoing winter bugs we have decided to cancel the disco tonight.
Refunds are available from our school office.
Last Tuesday, the Bell’s Brae P5-7 Christmas Choir went to the Over 60s Club at Islesburgh. They performed a selection of festive songs which they have been busy rehearsing at after-school choir. The audience really enjoyed their programme and complemented them on their singing. This year, the choir decided to collect money for the Shetland MRI Scanner, to which the Over 60s Club very kindly donated £113! Many thanks to the club for inviting our school choir to perform and for making such a kind donation.
The Christmas Choir will be performing at the Lerwick Baptist Church, Quoys, on Saturday 14th December at 2pm. Again, there will be a donations tub to gather money for the Shetland MRI Scanner.
