Bell’s Brae Nursery is an open plan space which allows the children to have free flow between indoors and out. The nursery is open from 8.30-4.30, and parents can choose their flexible hours to suit their requirements. Each child has a maximum of 30 hours per child per week funded Early Learning and Childcare, which has been confirmed by the ELC team at Hayfield house. You must ensure that your child is only in the setting within their set hours. If you require to alter your hours this must be done again by contacting the ELC team. Staff at Bell’s Brae are unable to confirm changes of hours.

Nursery education aims to develop the whole child through a variety of activities. The Early Years staff aim to develop the child’s skills and to encourage individual interests. The child also benefits socially by mixing with other children and becoming more independent. We are aware of the benefit to children when their parents are involved in their education. To this end, parents/carers are always welcome to visit the setting to speak with staff or share information/expertise.
Parents are strongly encouraged to clearly label their child’s clothing and personal belongings.
