The Sports Committee organised fundraising activities for Red Nose Day today.
Red noses were on sale and they organised activities in the GP for everyone to take part in.
The P1-3 classes also enjoyed singing Put A Nose on it at their assembly.
A grand total of £590 was raised from selling noses and the activities.
A big thank you to Mrs Redfern, Sanna Aitken (Active Schools) and our sports committee members for all their hard work. Thank you to everyone who donated and took part.
On Friday 28th September, pupils from P4s took part in a training session led by Anderson High School pupils as part of their Wider Achievement programme. 
They all all had a great time and learnt some brilliant skills.
On Wednesday some P7 pupils attended the first session of The Peerie Makkers club after school.
The pupils enjoyed learning how to knit and were shown the skills needed by three experienced knitters. The club will run for 10 weeks and members will get the opportunity to learn the craft of Shetland knitting.
It is a beautiful day in Lerwick today. It was lovely to see the playground before school bustling with activity.
It is also the Hockey Festival in Brae today and some Primary 7 pupils are participating in this. 
On the first Monday of every month Mrs Wadley and pupil council members hold a drop in session. Pupils discuss what they think is going well and come with the suggestions for improvements. This month lots of pupils attended this session and suggestions are being taken forward. 
This week our Primary 5/6 pupils had the opportunity to go along to the lunchtime bowls club. Pupils had fun learning how to bowl and for the next five weeks they will play bowls in teams. Everyone had great fun.
Pupils in Primary 6 took part in a Holocaust Memorial Service today at the Town Hall. Some pupils shared poems they had written after learning about Anne Frank. Two pupils laid a wreath on behalf of the staff and pupils at Bell’s Brae Primary.There was a lovely atmosphere in the school yesterday with lots of parties taking place. Fun party games were played and there was lots of nice food to share.
We have had a super day at Bell’s Brae raising money for Children In Need. Children came to school in their onesies or pyjamas and made a donation. Some classes iced cakes and sold them at the Tuck Shop. At assembly the p1-7 classes learned more about the charity and how the money raised is used. We raised £336.79! Thank you to all who helped to raise this fantastic amount.

Yesterday all the P4-7 classes had visits from Police Scotland. They came to reinforce class work about Road Safety and Internet Safety.
The visits were informative and interesting. We would like to say thank you to Police Scotland for their input.
