Class Teacher: Mrs Lenno
Welcome to primary 3’s class webpage!
In primary 3 we are looking forward to lots of fun learning over the year.
We have started the year by setting our new routines, getting to know our new friends and creating our class charter together to help us to know our rights and responsibilities to keep everyone safe and happy at school.
In class, we do numeracy and literacy work every day, with number talks, talking and listening, reading and writing. Talking about our learning in this way helps us share our thinking and learn from each other, becoming more confident in our skills. We have focused on using dialogue across our learning and started the year by making our talking and listening “Y-chart”. This reminds us of what a good discussion looks like, sounds like and feel like, so we can make the most of all our class communication.
Our book in term 1 is The Most Magnificent Thing. We have been reading the story as a class and every week we have been taking part in different activities linked to the story.
Primary 3’s topic this term is The Rainforest. We are learning all about the different animals who live there, the layers of the Rainforest and about all the amazing things that come from there to help us to appreciate and understand our diverse world.
Our PE days are – Tuesday and Thursday. Where possible we will try to include outdoor learning so please wear appropriate clothing every day.
