University of Glasgow Taster Weeks 2020

 Information below on Glasgow City Council Education services and University of Glasgow Taster Weeks 2020.

The S4 & S5 Taster Week programmes are aimed at giving pupils, from schools across the city, the opportunity to experience the life of a student for a week on campus.

The S4 week will run 1-5th June 2020, with the S5 taking place the following week, 8-12th June 2020. Pupils on both programmes will attend an array of lectures across the colleges and will take part in workshops designed to support them in their application to Higher Education.

Strathclyde Accelerate Programme 2020

 

The University of Strathclyde have taken the decision to postpone the Strathclyde Accelerate programme until summer 2021. They look forward to working with our pupils on the programme again next year

Funded places are available for the one-week Accelerate summer programme at the University of Strathclyde, running from 22nd to 26th June 2020. This academic subject-specific programme is for senior school pupils interested in going on to University and funded places on the programme are designed to offer opportunities to pupils from widening access backgrounds.

The University of Strathclyde are also asking all potential applicants to write a statement explaining why they would like to partake in the programme. The pupils’ statements will be taken into consideration in the selection process.

The deadline for expressions of interest for places is Monday 27th April. If you are interested in this opportunity then please see your Pastoral Care teacher.  The University of Strathclyde will ask successful pupils to apply on their website.
