The Transition boys were Effective Contributors and Confident Individuals when they made a Chinese envelope by folding and stick and putting chocolate coins inside.
This week the Stars and Pine classes organised a Chinese New Year sensory assembly together. Everyone seemed to enjoy the activities and had a good time.
A cold and busy week with lots of different things happening in the Pine Room. Our favourite things were in art making a plate of haggis, neeps and tatties, carrying on with our Global Goals, making haggis and cakes in cookery…. and playing and going for a walk in the snow.
We have been working hard learning our Scottish dances for our Burns Supper. All boys have really enjoyed the dancing this week, everyone has been an effective contributor to make all the dances a success.
We also made the table decorations for the Burns supper, paper roses and thistles.
Jack and Blake have been learning the words and signs for the Selkirk Grace, they have been confident individuals performing in front of their class peers
The boys had fun at the sensory Burns assembly thank you Bluebells and Sungazers.
We were looking at our Rights Respecting Article 15 – I have the right to choose my friend and be included. The boys choosing their closest friend in the class. Sean was Mr popular the majority of the boys chose him as their friend.

The Sunflower boys have been amazing this week. They performed in the nativity on Tuesday. We enjoyed our Christmas party on Wednesday and really liked the special visit from Santa.
We have also been having lots of fun with our class neighbours the Daisies and doing lots of Christmas crafts and activities with them.

The Stars Class thoroughly enjoyed a visit from Artie Trezise with his Tartan Tales. We had some Christmas based songs alongside some Singing Kettle favourites. Everyone had a great time. Hugh and Toni even managed up to help him perform! Well done.
The Sunflower boys had lots of fun today. We had a special visit from Artie this morning and enjoyed a lovely Christmas performance. We loved singing and following the actions given. We then played with the construction toys together building towers. In the afternoon we used foam pictures and added them to our Christmas jumper outline to create our own Christmas jumper.
We have been known as the dumping ground for everyone to bring their rubbish so we can transform them into Christmas decorations
Over a few sessions all the boys were effective contributors to work together to create these lovely pieces of recycled Christmas themed decorations.

The Stars Class created Santa Glitter Shakers to sell at the Christmas Market. We sold them all! We also created a Christmas Tree wall display for the atrium.
