Santa and Marshmallow roasting

The Transition class were Responsible Citizens  when they met Santa and his Elf in the Grotto. They were very safe when they roasted marshmallows and were very sensible not to eat them straight away!!! An exciting morning all round!

Christmas Party and special visit

The Bluebells had lots of fun today. We had a special visit from Santa this morning and his special elf. He gave us all a lovely gift and we also got to toast marshmallows with Mr Nicoll.  We were confident individuals getting our picture with Santa and responsible citizens when around the fire toasting marshmallows.  All of the children really enjoyed this.

We also had lots of fun at our class Christmas party. We played games like pass the parcel and danced to songs. We loved dancing to the “hokey cokey”. We also jumped on the trampolines and played with balloons. In class we played pin the nose on Rudolph and did some festive bowling. It was a super day.

FAOL – Enterprise – Christmas Snowman Display

*Confident Individuals     *Effective Contributors

We chose a snowman design then drew round our hands to make felt handprints. We cut out and glittered snowflakes, used paper doilies and cotton wool pads to form the body and used pipe cleaners for the nose and hat. We made a colourful pom pom for the hat. Didn’t it turn out well?

FAOL – whole school

  1. This year was a little different to our usual. We dressed up in costumes and did our nativity story in class. We all got to choose a character and put it on in front of our big stable on our board. We listened to the story and followed some instructions moving to the correct place at the correct time. We did lots of other Christmas activities in class to that will added together to create a video for our parents to view.

Responsible Citizens – A Visit from Holly McJingle

The Transition boys had a wonderful surprise this week when they got a visit from Holly McJingle. Holly McJingle is a helper elf and was on a mission from Santa Claus. The Transition class had written their letters to Santa and one of our boys had posted it for us.  Santa received them and had written back to our boys along with a wee gift. The boys were Responsible Citizens showing excellent behaviour and manners when Holly McJingle visited to deliver the letters and gift from Santa. The boys must remember to ring their bells at 6pm on Christmas Eve!
