Parking issues

Unfortunately today we had a complaint from a Dundonald Road resident who said he was unable to get into his runway as two cars were parked across the entrance to it.  Also, parking on the pavement across the road from the school makes manoeuvring in and out the school entrance much more hazardous.

We also had cars parked on the roundabout this afternoon – one with no driver in the car.

We would like to ask all parents to be courteous drivers and park in allocated car park bays or allow an extra few minutes to park slightly further away and walk in. This would greatly help the congestion on these darker, wet days and help keep the children safe.

Many thanks for your cooperation.

Yoga with Miss Bechelli

This week we learned 9 new yoga poses! Have a go at home with your child it’s so much fun! 🙂

Yoga is beneficial for children in a number of ways:

It helps improve concentration.

It helps with Balance and coordination.

It enhances flexibility as we practise using our muscles in different ways.

It’s helps calm our minds.

and most importantly, it’s a fun way to exercise!

Parent Drop-In Café with Lesley Wilson

Parent Drop-In Café

As the new Home Link Worker for Grange Education Group, I am keen to organise a Parent Drop-In Café in your child’s school with the proposal of starting after the October holidays. (Week beginning 23rd October).  This will take place once a week either during school hours or after school hours, possibly alternating these times each week. This would hopefully allow most parents to be accommodated within these times.  The drop-in will give you all, an ideal opportunity to get to know one another, have a chat with tea/coffee and biscuits (possibly cake) in a laid back, relaxed atmosphere.  Working together, with the aim of developing and sustaining a support group led and run by parents for parents.

To enable me to gauge numbers, source suitable accommodation and catering facilities, I would be grateful if you could complete the online form below  no later than Friday 13 October 2017

Thank you in advance and look forward to meeting you all.
