Mary’s Meals Backpack Appeal

Thank you so much to everyone who has already contributed a filled backpack or items for backpacks as part of the P7 Rights Respecting Schools group’s Backpack Appeal –  part of the work of the Mary’s Meals charity. We cannot thank you enough. We currently have about 25 filled backpacks but would love for the total donated from Gargieston Pr. to be higher. The appeal will continue until the end of May. Here is the list of the items that should be inside the Backpack:-

Cross Country

Thank you to Ross Mitchell, Ryan Johnston, Sam McCallum, Harry Thomson and Jamie Work who all represented Gargieston in the national cross country championships in Fife this morning. The boys all finished with very good times amongst tough competition. Glad to see the sun was shining for you in Kirkcaldy today!

My Place Photography competition

Congratulations to Jenny Zheng of P6/7 who received a Highly Commended award for her entry in the national My Place Photography competition. She captured the picture when the P7 children were out on a Kilmarnock Town Trail walk. This is Jenny receiving her award at The Lighthouse in Glasgow this week.
