Christmas Sing-a-long Superstars

Congratulations to our final Superstars of 2018 who were awarded their certificates at our Christmas sing-a-long this morning – well done everyone!

We had no shortage of vocal superstars this morning who were more than happy to take the microphone and entertain us during our sing-a-long.  Gargie’s own special version of ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’ was a particular highlight although the P1’s and I were absolutely exhausted by the end of the song!!

Merry Christmas to you all and I look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday 7th January 🙂

Join us for Reading

In P6/7 we would like to invite any parents or grandparents to assist us with our reading. If you can spare any time during the week to read to us or let us read to you in school  that would be great!

If you can help us out please get in touch with Mr McDowell below.

Thanks,

Church Service

******** urgent message*******

Due to the very wet weather, we have made the decision not to walk the children to the church this morning.

This means the Christmas service will now be in the school and due to the large number of children we now have, that unfortunately means we will not be able to have our families and friends present.

This was a very difficult decision to make knowing that some of you will have arranged time away from work, however, we are sure you will appreciate we have to think what is best for the children.

Many thanks for your understanding..

Name That Gritter!

18.12.18 Gritter Visit – Primary 3B

Thank you to our visitors for showing us the newly named Everest Gritter. Well done to Amelie in P3B who won our Name the Gritter competition. Our visitors told us some interesting facts about this gritter……………… Did you know that this gritter costs around £95,000? Did you know that gritters used to have somebody on the top of the vehicle shovelling the grit over the roads? This was before more machinery was introduced to do the job about 40 years ago.

Well done to all the children who entered the competition and a big congratulations to Amelie in P3B for winning! Look out for Everest gritting your roads this winter.
