On the 25th of January it is Robert Burns day and every one in our school has a poem to memorise. We all say it to professionals and they judge it and we find out who wins on the 25th. On the 24th the heats are at 12pm but my class only has 4 people so we just say ours to the judges on the 25th. My classes poem is called My Love’s Like a Red Red Rose and its written by Robert Burns. This is my poem

My love’s like a red, red, rose,
Thats newly sprung in June,
My love’s like the melodie
That’s sweetly played in tune.
As fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
So deep in love am I;
And I will love thee still, my dear,
Till a’ the seas gang dry.
Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi’ the sun;
And I will love thee still my dear,
While the sands o’ life shall run.
And fare thee well, my only Luve
And fare thee well, a while!
And I will come again, my Luve,
Tho’ it were ten thousand mile.
by Robert Burns
