Daily Archives: March 27, 2020

Friday morning always starts with Assembly and this has been put on by Tracey who they all know – usually this class put out all the chairs for the department so today’s
Daily jobs could be doing something for the whole family? can they set the table? can they get a drink or a snack for someone else?
The wellbeing indicator for this week is Nurtured and the character is Nurtured Noodles
They also have Star of the Week and maybe they could choose someone in the house and say why they are star of the week – what have they done that is special?
We can make good choices and We can ask for help at home and at school are the indicators for Nurtured so we choose something that someone has done from these.
Friday is always Reflection Books and in your pack is a reflection sheet and today they can choose Nurtured.
For Movement and ICT/Technology today I would like them to put their Spy hats back on (topic for the term).
Can they follow these steps to find a page on Go Noodle?
  1. Go to Google
  2. cut and paste this link into it https://www.gonoodle.com/for-families
  3. click on Good energy at home
  4. Jon as a family – they may need help for this !
  5. Once in  – can they scroll down to find Videos and Activity suggestions – under this is
  6. 1. wash your hands 2. strengthen your focus  3. raise the roof – which one did they like best?
  7. reply to this email and say which one they liked and which one they didn’t like  – in the classroom there are very clear favourites (and dislikes!)
Literacy – keeping the spy theme – try this Youtube I spy game about food

In your packs there is an I spy sheet with a tick sheet – they enjoy these (not the counting ones)

Singalong – Connie added her Easter singalong to the blog – under Music – she would love you to have a look
Social Studies – have some family photo album time – can they remember that event? who are those people? have some time just talking about past times = be spies and find out as much about someone they don’t know (maybe from when you as parents were younger!)
Sign of the day = see Lorna’s post on the Blog
Story – maybe some tricky questions are being asked – try this book that came to me this morning – I think it is an easy and clear book for you to read with your child.

Have fun!

Group 5 – A busy day

A busy day for one of our pupils yesterday. It is great to see what she has been up to. Thank you for sending us your photos.

If you would like to see yourself on the blog, check with an adult and then e-mail me some photos and I will put them up. It would be great to see what all of group 5 are up to.

Out for a walk in the fresh air.

Group 5 Morning Circle – Friday 27th March

Hello everybody,

Today I feel like Mr Lazy. I am glad it is Friday and that we can all have a rest this weekend.

Which Mr Man or Little Miss are you?

Today’s weather is really misty. When I look out of my window I can’t see very far at all. What is the weather like outside your window?

This is the weather from my window

Today’s timetable suggestions are PSD, literacy and social studies, break, story, sign of the day and food technology, lunch and then ICT and music.

For PSD today why don’t you watch the Mr Men video to get some inspiration for some movement activities.

I will post today’s story later this morning. There is still time to send me a reply with your choice:

or

Twinkles, Arthur and Puss

For food technology you could help make something for lunch. Yesterday Maureen turned her carrots

Lots and lots of carrot!

Into carrot soup! Perhaps I will try that today.

Maureen’s carrot soup. It looks delicious!

After lunch why not try some of the ICT and Music activities already on the blog.

I will be back soon with the answer to yesterday’s photo challenge and a new photo for you to guess.

Have a good start to your day, Sarah
