Let’s go on a bear hunt!

Signs of the Day –

Yesterday I was learning the signs for some fruit. You will have to test me when we go back to school. Check out today’s signs of the day section. What signs will we learn today?

Music –

Check out the music section to make an instrument or to do some singing with Connie. Have fun!

Play with some shaving foam today. Can you practise your letters or numbers or impress someone in your family by writing their names in the foam.

Challenge of the Day –

We have been looking at water in the Pink Class. Here is an outdoor water challenge. Challenge your family to see who makes the best waterproof shelter. Who will be brave enough to sit under it while you test if it is waterproof? Have fun!

Outdoor Shelter

Some of you have emailed some fantastic pictures of all of the hard work and fun you are having. Unfortunately, I can’t post these yet as our photo/picture capacity is full at present. However, keep sending me your great pictures, they put a huge smile on my face.

If you can’t print these out then don’t worry – Just take a piece of paper and pen with you. You could also draw your own pictures before you go out.

Dance

There are some brilliant ideas on the “dance” section of the blog.

Or you can try some Go Noodle on YouTube today.

Story

Nicole has shared a video teaching us how to do Story massage. Have a go yourself at home. There’s 2 stories below to choose from (click to make bigger).

Sign of the Day

Don’t forget to follow along to Lorna’s sign of the day.. I wonder what it will be today?

Music with Gordon: Secondary

Hi everyone!

We’re all getting used to working in new ways away from our usual classrooms, but we can still have fun making music.

What to do today

Please join in with the activities below. The more who can join in, the more fun, too. Do the activities as many times as you like.

Activities (links below)

    1. Hello song
    2. Bounce and catch. You’ll need a ball for this.
    3. Tap and clap along to Cho-co-la-te
    4. Watch this video that Connie shared and clap and tap along to the sounds.
    5. Play the video again, but this time play along with some instruments – if you don’t have any, see what you can find around you that can make a good sound. We will look at some simple home made instruments later in the week.
    6. Time to get up and dance! Electroswing -Lost in the Rhythm, Jamie Berry Feat. Octavia Rose. Can you move your feet, arms and hands to the music like the dancer? You can play your instruments too if you like, or get  scarf to play with.
    7. And now, time to chill. Here’s another piece of music by the French composer Erik Satie. It was originally for piano, but suits the guitar as well. You may want to play it more than once.
    8. Goodbye Song. Time to say goodbye! Thank you for your music. Hope you had some fun, see you all next time!
