Primary 2 Update w/b 2/3

Last week in Primary 2 the children had great fun making and trying Hard Tack biscuits which were eaten by pirates! They used their experience to write their own set of instructions with a focus on making sure the steps were in order and using time words e.g. first, next, then and finally.

In RME, the children learned about Shrove Tuesday last week and tried some pancakes – much nicer than the Hard Tack biscuits!

This week the children have been conducting their own research about desert plants and animals using the internet to take notes. They will use these notes to create a report about desert plants and animals.

P2OP have been busy practising their class assembly. We hope to see as many of you as possible on Monday 9 March at 9.10am. Please continue practising saying words loudly and clearly at home.

Please remember World Book Day on Thursday 6th March – children are encouraged to bring their favourite book in from home and they will have the opportunity throughout the day to enjoy some quiet reading time.

Thank you for your continuing support,

Primary 2 Teachers
