Rights Respecting School

Every class helped to give suggestions for our Whole School Charter and we look at it every year and discuss if there’s anything we would like to change or add.

We use the Blue the Rights Respecting Bear to highlight Articles around the school and show where good RRS work has been displayed. We update our RRS leaflets once a year to keep parents and local community up- to- date with what we are doing.

We display the minutes of our meetings on our RRS board in the school corridor to let everyone see what is discussed and we put up information about what we are currently doing.

We have a Child Friendly copy of the UNCRC that we sent away for from the Children’s Commissioner of Scotland. We feel it’s a useful poster and explains everything quite clearly for children.

This year we will be working alongside the Charities Committee to help the local charity Compassionate Inverclyde. We are focussing on how to help others in, our local area this year.
