Attendance Matters – Every Moment Counts!
At Inverkip Primary School, we know that every day in school matters. Good attendance and punctuality give children the best possible opportunity to learn, make progress, build friendships and feel confident and connected to their school community.
Our doors open for a soft start from 8.45am, with learning beginning promptly at 9.00am. Even a few minutes late each day can quickly add up to valuable learning time missed.
If your child is going to be absent, please let our school office know by 9.30am by calling 01475 715745 or reporting the absence through the Parent Portal. Please do not email the Head Teacher or Depute Head Teacher to report an absence, as emails may not be seen immediately.
Wherever possible, we ask families to arrange holidays, routine appointments and days out outside school time. We completely understand that children will sometimes be unwell and that some absences are unavoidable; our aim is to work positively with families to support the best attendance possible for every child.
Be here. Get there on time. Be ready to learn.
Together, we can make sure that every child and person matters, every moment counts.
