Parental Engagement Sessions

Our P7 Induction Days take place on Wednesday 7th, Thursday 8th and Friday 9th June. All pupils attending Lochend Community High School as S1’s in August have been invited to attend.

We are delighted to extend this invitation to parents/carers too. All parents/carers are welcome to join us for one of our parental engagement sessions. This will involve joining your child for 2 lessons with some of their new teachers and taking part in a discussion/Q&A session with our Senior Leadership and Pastoral Care Teams. This will allow you to hear about the opportunities for learners within our school, find out more about ordering uniform and discuss how you can best support your child as they progress into Secondary school.

Should you wish to join us, please complete the short form below:

A maximum of 2 parents/carers per child are invited to attend. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer these sessions as drop-ins. Signing up in advance is required.

S4-S6 Open Night, Wednesday 8th February

Our S4-S6 Open Night takes place this coming Wednesday, from 3.45-5.45pm.

All S4-6 parents/carers are invited to speak with their child’s teachers, learn more about the opportunities available for school leavers and discuss the supports which are available to ensure our young people achieve success in Senior Phase.

Appointments sheets were issued to pupils earlier this week.

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday

Glasgow Schools Young Musicians Competition

Glasgow Schools Young Musicians Competition takes place tomorrow in the City Halls. We have 2 young people competing from LCHS:

Brooke-Angel McGill (vocalist) singing ‘When Winters Gone’ by David Benoit and Jonatan Wiankowski (pianist) playing ‘Fantaisie impromptu’ by Chopin.

Both pupils have put in a tremendous amount of hard work, and they go with our full support. Best of luck! 🤞
