Social Subjects

INTRODUCTION

The impact Social Subjects has on learner’s experiences is broad and lasting. Learners will experience a variety of opportunities to develop their understanding about the world that surrounds them.  They will, through Geography, History and Modern Studies explore the intricacies of the world, be it through an investigation into housing in urban areas, a study of the slave trade or by comparing the rights of people from the UK with China.  Social Subjects delivers this knowledge through a skills based curriculum that will inspire learners.

This combination of skills and knowledge empower young people to develop a critical analysis of their surroundings and enable them to be willing and active participants in society.
