Halloween Week

Responsible citizens using the drill to create our pumpkin all the boys loved this experience.  We also used a hammer and cookie cutter, boys with their toys, great fun.

Halloween Spider cupcakes were made this week, great team work and successful learners, listening to Jack’s instructions and carrying them out with a small amount of support.

Halloween sensory assembly, everyone was confident individuals to take part in all the activities.

Oozing fizzy pumpkin experiment, we watched the spiders and creepy eyeballs ooze out of our carved pumpkins.

Skeleton X-ray art work, the boys all enjoyed getting their hand painted and found it very tickly.  We had to think about the bones in our hand to add these onto our pictures.

October Holiday Countdown

The Stars Class have enjoyed a fantastic week where we saw not only Harris McCoo but Singing Hands too. What a treat! We’ve worked hard too and made an Autumn sensory bottle, added to our Nanny McPhee wall display and made yucky ‘worm’ sandwiches at HE which actually were very tasty!

Fun last week of term!

A visit from Steven Brown and Harris McCoo for an amazing performance of his new song! We also had a birthday boy, Angus turned 13. What a fantastic day to have a birthday.

Jack and Blake were very confident individuals who performed the Harris McCoo song in front of the whole school.  Very confident with their singing, signing and dancing! Well done boys, very proud of you!

Pizza Party to celebrate winning ‘Class of the Year’ through the Cream of Ayrshire Awards! Pizza then lots of dancing and games to burn off our food!

Special Events

We all came together to enjoy our Macmillan coffee morning and have fun dancing with our friends.  We also said a sad farewell and good  luck to Mr Bark is away to start a new adventure.

It’s that time again, Christmas card deigns.  The boys enjoyed some painting today, they chose the style of penguin they liked the best and used their foot print to personalise their penguin card.  The end result will follow tomorrow.

Muffin Magic!

The Transition boys were Confident Individuals this week when they made muffins for the Macmillan Cancer Support ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’. The boys carefully measured out the dry mixture, the water and milk and cracked two eggs into the bowl before mixing well. The muffin mix was carefully spooned into paper cases and baked in a hot oven. The boys reported that they tasted very nice!
