Spiral snakes! The Planets class have been using their curiosity and imagination to solve a design problem. The 2D snakes had to be decorated and then cut out to turn them into 3D designs.
All pupils showed lots of interest when the transformation was made. Super successful learners all round!

Responsible Citizens/Effective Contributors
The Snowdrops have shown interest in lots of photos and pictures of birds in winter weather and how they need help with getting enough to eat. Everyone showed interest in exploring cheerios as a good food for birds. The Snowdrops threaded lots of cheerios onto pipe cleaners and made a ring shape. We are going to visit the school garden and hang these on a tree. Great work!

To finish off maths week, we enjoyed being out in the garden. We found and made lots of different shapes from outdoor resources.

The Stars class made a poster showing child work and poverty abroad. After printing pizza vegetables we used our switches to take pizza orders then created pictures of our choices. Pepperoni was very popular!

The Moonbeams have been learning why it is important to reduce, reuse and recycle. We learned that if we are not RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS then sea life creatures suffer as litter can end up in the ocean and harm them. Take a look at our posters.

After a busy morning in the Sungazers we were confident individuals as we enjoyed some sensory science. This is beneficial for the development of fine motor skills and has super calming benefits. Good clean fun

We have also been looking at the changing seasons and made some beautiful leaves for our windows.

We had some fun with bread dough, it is great exercise for our hands – stretching and griping and a fun sensory experience too!

* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS, CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS *
The Planets class enjoyed exploring some Indian food today. We had poppadoms, naan bread, samosas, pilau rice, onion bhajis and chicken pakora.
Pupils enjoyed exploring the foods using their senses, some pupils chose just to touch and smell the foods. However, most were brave enough to give the food a taste or a little kiss.
