ECC student permission

We have 6 new HNC and HND students with us in the ECC this year. They are going to be with us from now up until the end of June. These students will be working alongside practitioners to support your children’s development and learning the role of a practitioner in early learning and childcare. In order for them to complete their course effectively students have to carry out observations on children which they use to write reflective accounts. No children’s names will ever be used on these observations. They are also required to create a floorbook with the children which consists of evidence of activities in which they have carried out. They are encouraged to include photographs in this floorbook. Photographs of children will only be used and accessed by students and their college lecturer.

Remembrance Day

As another Remembrance Day comes to a close, we would like to say well done to all the children who observed the silence at 11 o’clock this morning. This afternoon at assembly, the whole school also watched a short video about some of the work Poppy Scotland does.

Finally, we would like to share this lovely photograph of Freya with Mr McMaster from the Royal Legion just before the parade yesterday morning.
