Thank you for the growing number of rainbows on the railings making everyone smile as they pass the school. Keep them coming, everyone!
ECC
Rainbows…
How lovely it is to see some rainbow pictures and messages of hope appearing on the school gates!
Wouldn’t it be lovely to see lots of these decorating our railings for people to read and enjoy looking at as they walk past the school? Why not add to the collection – don’t forget to put your name on it too.
Stay safe everyone!
**** Primary 7s ****
With the continued uncertainty of a return date for everyone, our school photographer, Scott Walker, has put together a lovely alternative to the P7 end of session keepsake picture.
If you would like to order a 8″ x 10″ copy of this please log on to Scott’s website using the link below and use the password primary7 to access the image.

Thank you to Scott for his assistance in providing this parting souvenir for the Class of 2020!
New Addition to the Gargieston Family
I am delighted to share with you the happy news that Mr & Mrs Baird, along with Cameron and James, have welcomed a beautiful baby boy into their family.
Patrick was born on Monday 6th April weighing a very healthy 9lb 4ozs. As you can see in the pictures below, Mrs Baird and Patrick are both doing well. We can’t wait until he can make his first trip to Gargieston to meet us all.
Congratulations to the Baird family from all of us at Gargieston 🙂
Easter Bonnets
We loved seeing all of your creative Easter Bonnets yesterday. We hope that you had lots of fun making them.
Here are some of your wonderful creations along with one of our favourite Easter songs.
Happy Easter everyone 🙂
Easter Bonnet Activity
This week, Gargieston PS & ECC would have been a hive of creativity as we prepared for Easter.
Mrs McLaughland, Mrs Lawson, Mrs Hendrie and I would like to encourage you to be creative at home with some Easter art work.
The ECC had planned to hold an Easter bonnet parade through the school. If you have time, we would love you all to do this at home! Be as creative as you can and have fun making Easter bonnets – you could even make one for Mum & Dad or your pets. Maybe you could have a parade in your garden!
We would love to see your Easter bonnets posted on your class Teams or your blogs. We will select some of the most creative ones to share on here at the end of the week.
Have fun!
We are living in extraordinary times right now and no doubt we will look back at 2020 and remember what was happening in our town.
The last time the country experienced anything like this was during WW1 when Spanish flu swept across Europe carried by soldiers. The Dick Institute was used as a hospital back then for the soldiers coming back injured or ill, as these two grainy photos show….
This short video clip was taken outside The Dick Institute in 1922.
Sumdog Pre Easter Competition
All children have been entered into a pre Easter Sumdog competition which is running from 3rd-9th April. Good luck and have fun with maths!
Yoga Pose of the Day
Morning everyone and happy Friday!! 😀
Thanks to all who have sent pictures in doing your yoga poses over the last couple of weeks, it’s been great to see such a big response! Todays one will be the last pose until after the Easter holidays but don’t let that stop you doing your yoga! Todays pose is:
‘Warrior III.’
Maybe you could create your own yoga sequence using the poses you’ve learned? Great way to see what you can remember and to keep practising.
I Hope you all have a fantastic, relaxing couple of weeks spent with family. 🙂
Stay safe, keep smiling and
Namaste 🌈 x
