Kilmarnock Flooding

Hopefully everyone is having a lovely summer despite the unusual weather of sunshine and downpours we have been experiencing!

Perhaps this would be a good time for the children to think of others within their Learning Community. I’m sure everyone has heard the sad stories of the Shortlees residents who have lost so much in the recent flooding. I have been down to the food bank myself where I spoke to the volunteers. They would be very grateful for any donations, not just of food but of children’s clothing or toys, or indeed anything you may no longer need or use.

All donations, which would be gratefully received, can be taken directly to ‘Our Wee Shop’ in Shortlees just off Central Avenue across from the school.

Cyber Safety

We would like to wish all our children a happy, active and safe summer holiday. We would also like to remind everyone to keep themselves safe online.
Websites such as the NSPCC, the BBC or government pages give good advice for parents on these matters.
We would encourage you to remind your child of how to keep themselves safe online and remind them that if it’s not appropriate to say the words to someone in person then it’s not appropriate to post them online or in a group chat.
Have a wonderful summer, everyone!

Good-bye to the Class of 2019…

What a fantastic send off the Primary 7s got last week as they left  to the sound of bagpipes and the whole school making an archway for them to go through.

They were a great year group and we wish them all the very best as they head to their secondary schools in August.

Roon The Toon

Thank you so much to 3 of our Dads who not only thought to enter Roon The Toon as Team Gargie, but to actually win the best team prize. Mr Abercrombie, Mr Hamilton and Mr Evans – you did yourselves and Gargieston proud!

Wider Achievement

Sadly the person  that got this award has the chickenpox but his brother took it home for him.
