P4-7 Superstars

Well done to this week’s P4-7 Superstars- Freya, Callum and Keira.  Well done also to Noah whose photo was missed last week.

P7 Photography Competition

On Tuesday 18th September the Primary 7 children will be looking towards entering the My Place Photography competition.

This is a national competition the school has entered for the past four years – and has been fortunate enough to have some success with.

With this in mind, the children are going to be making their first visit to Grange Academy that morning.

We will walk up to the Art & Design Department where Miss Sharpe will give them a talk on top tips for that perfect shot!

After that we will walk into the town centre taking pictures of the town in which we live.

Where possible, could the children bring in a simple, fully charged camera which they can use on the day – one which they must be responsible for.

If this is not possible, the school has some available for use.

No phones please.

Please ensure suitable clothing and packed lunches / snacks are brought.

Please give permission below for your child to attend and if you are available to help on the day.

Our Eilidh’s are Super Stars!!

Congratulations to Eilidh in P1b and Eilidh in P3b who were awarded their Super Star certificates this week.

Eilidh in P1b had the best day and the worst day last week when she achieved Super Star status before lunch then fell and broke her wrist in the playground!  She was incredibly brave and her broken wrist certainly hasn’t stopped her smiling.

Flu Immunisation

Flu Immunisation Forms will be collected from

school week beginning 17/09/2018.

Will any parents who haven’t already returned their child’s form, please return it as soon as possible.

Thanks.

Lego

Thank you very much for your help

Intergenerational project – Early Childhood Centre

At last week’s ECC meeting we made the decision that only the preschool children will visit the Care Homes over the next few months. This will allow the new ante preschool children to settle within the nursery setting.  Please remember to give permission for your child to attend these visits via the recent blog post.

Big Thanks to Specsavers!!

Gargieston Primary would like to say a big thank you to Martin O’Neill, manager at Specsavers, Kilmarnock for the very kind donation of nearly 90 high- vis jackets which can be used by our pupils on outings and at school clubs such as the running club or any other occasions when a number of pupils are outwith our school grounds. Thanks to all our models from each Base within the school.
