You may remember from last session, we shared the fabulous news that Abbie Russell, now P4, won a national competition to design a Christmas Card for sale in Shelter Scotland shops. We are delighted to announce that these are now for sale in all their branches (including Prestwick and Ayr) at the price of £2.49 for a pack of 10. It will be lovely to think of these being shared by our families while supporting an extremely worthwhile cause.
Huge congratulations once again to Abbie – we are so proud of you and here’s a reminder of the winning card.
We are overwhelmed with how many reverse advent calendar donations we have received throughout December. We can’t thank you enough for your generosity as this will help feed numerous families this Christmas.
We hope you have a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, we’ll see you next year,
Some of our children from the ECC stopped by Howard House yesterday while they were out for a walk to spread some festive cheer. Mrs Hendrie dropped off a big bag of Christmas cards, crafts and decorations from classes throughout the school and the children waved through the window at the residents.
This year as we have been unable to go to church for our annual Christmas service, Rev McNaughtan our school chaplain, recorded this special message for everyone at Gargieston. We really appreciate him recording this for us and hope you enjoy listening to his kind words.
We are delighted to announce the winners of our Shelter Scotland Christmas card competition! Thank you to everyone who took part – it was extremely difficult to choose the winners. They are ………..
Gregor Wallace P1B
Niamh Lee P2A
Aria Allardyce P2C
Adil Ahmad P3A
Elliot Wallace P3B
Abbie Russell P3C
Holly McClean P4A
Finlay McPhail P4B
Emma Wright P5A

Good luck to all of these entries in the national selection. Winners will be announced in January, so, fingers crossed!
Thank you also to Freya Lee who organised this fundraiser. A fabulous £77 was raised and has now been sent to support this worthy charity at what can be a very difficult time for many in our communities.
Primary 5A and Primary 5B have been working hard to create a Christmas Newsletter for the whole school to enjoy over the holidays. They have included a little something for everyone so we hope you have fun looking at our ideas for crafts, decorations and choices of movies and songs.
