A Huge Thank You

We are overwhelmed with how many  reverse advent calendar donations we have received throughout December.  We can’t thank you enough for your generosity as this will help feed numerous families this Christmas.

We hope you have a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, we’ll see you next year,

Reverse Advent Calendar

Primary 7 are organising a reverse advent calendar for the food bank.   We would love the ECC and School to take part.

During the month of December, we are asking your child to bring in one non-perishable food item to give to Ayrshire East Food Bank. Every child will receive a number and this will correspond with a date up to the 18th of December. Therefore, if they are number one they will bring their item on the 1st of December and so on. If their number falls on a Saturday they will bring it on a Friday and on a Sunday they will bring it on a Monday. Your child will receive their number as soon as possible.

We would really appreciate your help with this as we know some families will be struggling over Christmas time.

Thank you for your help.

 Yours sincerely,

Kyle Chambers and Jamie Hodkinson

(On behalf of Primary 7).

JRSO, Drop Off and Parking

Please do not drop off children on the roundabout under any circumstances!

Parents/carers are still continuing to drop children off in the staff/disabled car park, once again please stop this!

Orienteering After-School Club

We have had an amazing response to our after-school club, thank you.  Unfortunately we are no longer able to take any more pupils.  We are looking forward to seeing all children who have already signed up on Tuesday.

This does not mean that children will be unable to participate in the festival, if they wish to take part they can still attend at least 3 evening training sessions in April and May.  Details of which will be released soon.

Thank you again.

P 4 – 7 Orienteering After School Club

Mr Smith and Mrs Mackie will be running an after school orienteering Club  for primaries 4 – 7 , on Tuesday 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st of March from 3.15pm to 4.15pm.

This is for pupils who are interested in attending the orienteering training evenings in April and May and also wish to be entered into the orienteering festival.  Gargieston has always done very well at orienteering events and we would love to maintain this.  We would love to see some new faces coming along to the club as well as pupils who have been before.

P7 Maths Transition

P7 had a great time at Maths Transition last Tuesday. They had to work with pupils from other schools and together use their numeracy skills to solve clues.
