Gargie Go Green

Last Friday P7B ran an event for P2 and P3 called Gargie Go Green. Thank you to all of the P2s and P3s who were full of enthusiam and to P7B who spent time creating activities for them to enjoy. Throughout the day, the children did plastic modelling, listened to a talk about plastic pollution, did a Kahoot quiz and took part in 4 games outside. Great fun was had by all!

P7 Transition Visit to Grange

P7 pupils will visit the Grange next week as part of their transition.

Pupils will go up in their house groups.

Pupils will be leaving sharp at 8.45am – please make sure children are in school prompt . They will be accompanied by a member of staff from Gargieston.

Monday 13th June – Bruce House

Tue 14th June – Douglas House

Wed 15th June – Graham House

Thursday 16th June – Hamilton House

Please give permission below for your child to attend.

The canteen at Grange are providing a free lunch for pupils who are coming to Grange each day.  However, if anyone wants to bring a packed lunch that is totally fine.   

Please encourage them to bring a bottle of water as it can be hot – they can refill as required during the day.   

We will not be doing PE as such so need to bring any PE kit.

P2A plastic

P2A came to assembly to speak about their class topic and told us about the importance of recycling! They have asked everyone to save their crisp packets which can be made into a blanket to keep people warm.

Burns Competition Winners

Huge congratulations to the Clarke family on their double success at the Ayrshire Association of Burns Clubs Schools’ Competition.

Isla won the P4-5 category after reciting Burns poem ‘To A Mouse’ and younger brother Nathan came 2nd in the P1-3 section with ‘The Crocodile’ by J K Annand. Thank you to both of you for representing the school so well – we’re so proud of you!

Roon The Toon School Challenge

Congratulations to the runners who represented Gargieston at Roon the Toon yesterday.  The team came 1st  and were awarded £500 for school funds – what a fantastic achievement!

Many thanks to all competitors and to Mr Gourlay for organising the team for this event 🙂
