DEVELOPING THE YOUNG WORKFORCE

DEVELOPING THE YOUNG WORKFORCE

We are pleased to launching a Developing the Young Workforce week at Gargieston this year and we are looking for help from our parents/carers.

On Wednesday 4th March, we are looking for parents to come in to speak to our classes about their job – we are looking for as wide a range of job roles as possible.

  • Hairdresser
  • Firefighter
  • Retail
  • Gardener / Outdoor worker
  • Plumber / joiner
  • Nurse
  • Journalist

Within this talk we would be looking for the children to find out about:

  • Your job role
  • How you got into your job (Did you need specific qualifications?)
  • The types of things your job entails
  • Any practical elements you could share with the children.

We would be looking for parents who are able to join us on Wednesday 4th March between 9am – 12.30pm. The plan would be that each parent would work with 4 classes within each base.

Please complete the form below if you would be able to help us and advise what stage you think you would be best suited to. We ask that if you would be able to assist us that you let us know before Thursday 6th February.
