DEVELOPING THE YOUNG WORKFORCE
We are pleased to launching a Developing the Young Workforce week at Gargieston this year and we are looking for help from our parents/carers.
On Wednesday 4th March, we are looking for parents to come in to speak to our classes about their job – we are looking for as wide a range of job roles as possible.
- Hairdresser
- Firefighter
- Retail
- Gardener / Outdoor worker
- Plumber / joiner
- Nurse
- Journalist
Within this talk we would be looking for the children to find out about:
- Your job role
- How you got into your job (Did you need specific qualifications?)
- The types of things your job entails
- Any practical elements you could share with the children.
We would be looking for parents who are able to join us on Wednesday 4th March between 9am – 12.30pm. The plan would be that each parent would work with 4 classes within each base.
