Easter Egg hunt design challenge – two week challenge

The challenge will be to create an Easter Egg Hunt for some younger children that may be in your house (or use your imagination!).

What will you need for the hunt?

How will the children know about it?

Do you need a map?  how will the children read the directions? do you need pictures?

Is it outside in your garden (remember it can’t be further than your house)?

What decorations do you need?

What happens if it is too hot? or too cold? ( I remember one Easter hunt in my garden it snowed!)

What will you need to make? how many eggs are you going to have to get?

Here is a link to some ideas but it would be lovely to hear from you and see some pictures of your plans for this event?

Remember to wash your hands when you help Mum or Dad get your snack ready

The song signifier is to the tune of Here we go round the mulberry bush :

this is the way we wash our hands

wash our hands

wash our hands

this is the way we wash our hands

to keep them nice and safe

The song signifier for drying hands is to the same tune:

this is the way we dry our hands

dry our hands

this is the way we dry our hands

to keep them nice and dry

Story time today

PE

if you go outside in the garden or for a walk, remember to try and put your jacket on by yourself, remember to pull the tag of the zip once Mum or Dad has anchored it.  You can do this!  If you are going for a walk, remember to stay safe and hold hands.

Take photos too, Callum sent me a lovely photo of himself on a walk with his Mum.  Look at the trees, are there buds yet?  When I stepped into my garden this morning, I could hear the birds…

Health and Wellbeing (HWB)

Time to get out the house! Go out into your garden or out for a walk. Take a note (either write it down or just tell an adult) – what can you see? What can you smell? What can you hear?

Come up with as many things as possible. This is called being “mindful” and it is very good at keeping us calm and in the moment. It’s important to be as mindful as possible just now and enjoy the moment.

Have a lovely day everyone.
