Hi Silver class,

This is a favourite game of ours. There’s lots of options but usually we use “Number bonds – Make 10”. If your child is unable to add then tell them the answer and they must select the correct number. Lovely way to practise number recognition.

There’s also timetables, etc for those who are able to do this. 🙂

Have fun!!

Morning Circle Time

Hello Blue class 🙂  Hope you are all doing well.  As promised here is the songs we use for circle time.

We would start by going around everyone in the class and saying good morning.

We would then sing the good morning song

We then talk about what day it is and sing the days of the week.

We also use the singing walrus days of the week song too.  If you wish you could also introduce the months of the year at this point and use a song on youtube.

After this we would sing

“what’s the weather, what’s the weather,

like today, like today,

look outside the window, look outside the window

can you say, cay you say” (To the tune of frere jacques)

Then we would discuss how we are feeling using our feelings charts which have been sent home.  You can then listen to one of the songs below.

We would then have a movement break using one or a few of the following videos.  Feel free to use any you can find or use Joe Wicks P.E (the body coach) live on youtube  at 9am.

Group 11

After a lunch of cheese toasties that Cammy is making we have outdoor learning and health and well being.

In outdoor learning we are playing with bubbles and chalk in the garden.  Or you could look at this website https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/grownups/how-does-your-garden-grow.

In health and well being we will have some free time to enjoy what we like best.  Reading, football, drawing or lego….Then we have this to finish our day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk_qU7l-fcU

Send me some pictures of your day (even if you aren’t in Group 11).  It would cheer up my day.  My email address is kirsty.reid@westlothian.org.uk
