P1 Sharing the Learning 5.6.20

Hi, mixed weather, mixed motivation and mixed activities going on this week, and we think you have been showing amazing resilience,  imagination and ideas in what you are doing at home.

Best of all, has been to see our families taking time to enjoy the sun when it is shining, making time to just enjoy life and do fun things.

This week, some of you have shared your learning:

What made you proud this week?

What was a challenge? Our Marine biologists have worked hard this week making others aware of the dangers of plastic and pollution in our oceans.

What was fun?

What have you been reading?

I wonder what next week will bring?

P6 This week 5.6.20

Super engagement in coding using our micro:bits from DigitalXtra this week from P6! We have interpreted data from line graphs and learned more about money and wages. We created succinct summaries about the chapters we read from Millions- rising to the challenge of writing them in 5 or fewer sentences. Great job on this everyone! We also used details to re-create a scene from the novel. Arran made a great wee pop-up scene and Conlan put lots of detail into his sketch of the attic where Damian was hiding.

Some creative videos and sways were made to demonstrate learning about extreme flooding, with some learners becoming weather forecasters with style! Keep up the creativity P6; you are amazing.

Learning at Home Week 9 for P4

Once again you have all been amazingly busy this week. Some of the activities this week have been 3k runs, baking cookies, making bird feeders, litter picks, messy science experiments, dog walking, measuring out 2m distances on the street so you can chat to friends, football challenges and learning to make a cup of tea. That’s not to mention finding out about Africa, hammerhead sharks, woodpeckers, or the life of lions. Well done all of you. Here are a few of your comments and some photos.

O – This week I enjoyed the May Calendar and problem solving and maths and fractions.

L – I enjoyed learning how to make a cup of tea and writing the instructions.

L – I enjoyed doing the NYCOS daily lesson because it was a bit tricky and a bit easy. My favourite was Nima Naja.

S – I enjoyed the column addition and subtraction because I liked working them out. 😊
